Yonah Mountain Campground - Campfire Stories

We are lucky that Santa had time to visit the kids of Yonah Mountain Campground just a week before Christmas! He stopped in Saturday morning and enjoyed a pancake breakfast, posed for pictures, took wish lists back to the North Pole, and even gave out early Christmas presents.

Thanks Santa! We hope to see you again next year!

2011 Haunted House

Yonah Mountain Campground is excited to host its first ever haunted house this October! If you haven't checked it out yet, you have two more opportunities to encounter the ghouls and ghosts of Yonah Mountain Campground. Be sure to visit October 29th for their final appearance this year.

The Famous Labor Day Chili Recipe

You asked for the secret recipe - now enjoy Yonah Mountain Campground's Labor Day chili year-round!

1 lb Ground Beef
1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
1/8 cup Water
1 Package Chili Mix
28 oz can Diced Tomatoes
36 oz can Pinto Beans
8 oz can Tomato Paste
1/8 cup Yellow Mustard
1/2 White Onion, Diced
1/2 Green Pepper, Diced

Brown ground beef and add worcestershire sauce, water, and chili mix. Simmer until chili mix is thoroughly distributed and add remaining ingredients. Simmer over medium-low heat. Makes about 9 cups.
